Integrative Massage

This style applies various forms of bodywork throughout the session that best suit the client’s needs. This offering will vary more than others depending on the therapist that you book with as it is a form of massage that ‘integrates’ the forms of massage that each individual therapist has studied.

Sarah’s integrative massage blends myofascial work, trigger point, deep tissue, soft tissue release, swedish, listening touch and cupping.

Carly’s integrative massage blends Swedish, Abhyanga, myofascial and trigger point massage techniques.

Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Specially-designed massage tables, cushions, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.

Hot Stone Massage

Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils. The therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply and as an extension of the therapist’s hands. The use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger point therapy focuses on the release of tension around specific nerve centers found throughout your body. It is great for relieving cramped and overused muscles. Consistent 30 minute Trigger Point massages can be particularly beneficial for athletes or anyone recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic tension or looking to improve their physical performance.

Cupping

Massage Cupping is a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy. While massage is performed by applying positive pressure (pushing tissues toward the skeleton), cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues away from the skeleton.

Combine the benefits of both heat and cold therapy! Alternation between hot and cold can bring even greater blood flow to an area due to creating a “pumping” effect in the blood vessels.
